Our story

The brain of the family kitchen

Linden was built by parents in Belgium who kept having the same conversation at 17:45: “What's for dinner?” “I don't know, what do we have?” — followed by a fridge stare, a compromise, and pasta. Again.

We knew the fix wasn't another recipe app. Europe does not have a shortage of recipes. What families are missing is a brain: something that holds the allergies, the picky phases, the budget, what's already in the pantry, and who's home on Thursday — and turns all of it into one calm plan and one correct shopping list.

So that's what we built. Linden plans your week of meals around your family — not an influencer's family — and writes the shopping list itself, minus what you already own. It works for households in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and beyond, with local supermarkets and real European prices in mind.

We're a small team, we use Linden every day for our own kids, and we answer our own support emails. If something feels off, tell us — we genuinely want to know.

What we care about

Less waste

The average family bins a shocking amount of perfectly good food. A plan that knows your pantry means you buy what you'll cook and cook what you bought. The bin gets boring. Good.

Calmer weeks

The mental load of 'what's for dinner' is real, daily, and weirdly heavy. We think it belongs to software, not to whichever parent blinked first. Plan once, breathe all week.

Budgets respected

Groceries in Europe aren't getting cheaper. Linden plans to a number you choose and shows the week's total before you shop — so the checkout is never a surprise.
